As a student living abroad, I know firsthand that money can sometimes run tight, even with a scholarship to help me out. That’s why I decided to try freelancing, and boy am I glad I did!

My first gig was data entry for a client who was so kind to make an offer to someone with no portofolio or work history. It’s always difficult to get the first client. So I did this task for him and I nailed it and even got a 5-star review! That’s when I realized that this freelancing thing might work..

So I started taking on more gigs, from data entry and virtual assistance to translation and video editing. I was clueless at first, but I learned as I went along. And you know what? It turned out to be a great way to make some extra bucks!

If you’re a student in a similar situation, my advice is to give freelancing a try. You never know, it might just lead to some unexpected opportunities. Some fields to learn for freelancing include graphic design, web development, video editing, content writing, and social media management. I made a full video about this topic in Arabic. If you understand Arabic you can watch it from here https://lnkd.in/gKEN94BG

I started out onΒ Upwork, a great platform that’s easy to use and understand. It’s also a great way to build your portfolio and get started with freelancing. So, if you’re looking to make some extra cash and gain some valuable experience, don’t hesitate to give freelancing a try. You might just surprise yourself .. Good luck!
